2009 Business Woman of the Year

This year, our distinguished honoree is Pamela Henning. She is a woman who began her professional endeavors as an adolescent. From that early time, whether is was supermarkets, hotels, radio stations, newspapers, advertising, real estate, marketing or magazine publications, she has flourished in each field she has entered not only embracing what it had to offer but enhancing it along the way. Her professional career should be a model to us that success can come in all areas as long as you have the drive and desire to succeed. This attribute along with her long line of successes has given Pamela the honor of being named our 2009 WOMAN OF THE YEAR.

2009 Community Service Award Winner

We are also honoring Lori Rubinstein-Fleck with our Community Service Award. Lori has provided countless hours volunteering to community groups not only in the town in which she resides but all throughout Sullivan County. She has utilized her skills in education, public relations and event planning while serving on numerous executive boards and a media liaison for non-profit organizations. Chambers of commerce, children’s programs, community coalitions for those in need, street fairs and events such as our very own would not have been as successful as they have been without the talents and dedication that Lori has continuously given of herself.

To honor Pam and Lori, a recognition event will be held on Sunday, November 8, 2009 at The Eagle's Nest in Bloomingburg, NY.  As is customary at our annual event, we will feature a SOUVENIR JOURNAL of advertisements for well wishers of our recipients and community supporters of our scholarship program. The proceeds from the journal contribute largely to our Scholarship Fund, the main focus of our organization's fundraising efforts, enabling us to assist high school seniors, as well as mature women, in furthering their education.
